Well a Howdy and a rootin’ tootin’ good mornin’ to y’all – Yeehaw!… OK sorry, I’ll stop that I promise, but – I’ve exciting news!

After 3 years of trying in vain, I’ve finally gotten Cot to love camping as much as me and all it took was the most beautiful little wagon, in the most idyllic location… and the promise I’d dress up as a cowboy all weekend (she has a huge crush on Rip from Yellowstone!)…

Oh, and cook lots of treats over the fire, serenade her (apologies to anyone watching with the sound on for my singing and terrible playing – Cot’s very good at least!)… and of course, it helps that it’s set in its own little orchard, totally private, surrounded by wildflowers, with the dreamiest of sunsets!

Of course, I should have been dressed in my pirate garb, as I found this utterly enchanting place on @holidaypirates for an absolute song (geddit?) – I never thought I’d find somewhere quite this magical for less than £300 - over a weekend no less!

It’s in Southeast Devon and is completely off grid, with solar panels and the most amazing, fully working 1800’s stove to cook on, which was so much fun for breakfast and late-night brews, though we were spoilt with the weather, so I cooked both dinners straight over the fire!

It’s all been hand-built by the owners in this little slice of heaven, and every touch is just magical. Even the composting toilet is beautiful, as perfectly modelled by Cot in her Yellow frock - but you’re not without home comforts - like a hot shower and heating should you need it!

HolidayPirates really are amazing at rustling up the most incredible offers – they find over 50,000 deals a year, all over the world – from flights, to luxury hotels, to fields in Devon and everything in between at every budget – since following them, I cannot believe some of the prices I’ve seen – with new deals released everyday – it’s definitely worth heading to their site & insta to find out more!

We truly had the most amazing time – and have already booked to go back – but you can find the deal on the @holidaypirates page!

But, now it’s time for me to mosey, happy camping y’all!
